Charles + Ray Eames at the Oakland Museum

They truly defined postwar America/mid-century modern style with innovative yet whimsical furniture, home accessories, striking architecture, and culture influence. They were revolutionary and complemented each other’s uniquely creative strengths. Industrial design and graphic design are combined in their signature collaborations. Unique shapes, colors, and patterns are found in their designs that still stand the test of time in the 21st century. This inspiring exhibit features rare prototypes, films, drawings, artwork, and so much more. It all takes place at the Oakland Museum of California located at 1000 Oak Street in Oakland.
